I’m not sure if you’ve noticed or not but I’ve been kinda spinning the camera around and drawing zoom-out panels for no good reason at all? I think I’ve used up all the possible (sensible) angles at this point. I may or may not be overdoing this. I don’t know, maybe I’m so conscious of it simply because I’m the one drawing, maybe that’s what all the comics I read look like. The thing I can definitely say though is that I myself really don’t like it when the place where the scene is set in a comic feels too nebulous and/or disjointed, and you can’t properly visualize the space the characters exist in, so this is something I have in my mind when drawing page thumbnails.

Also, why are face close-ups the most difficult things to get right? (Also, also: I re-did the character art for these pages in 2016. This whole scene is actually important, so I wanted it to look right. If you're read this comic on my previous site, then you might remember how broken the character anatomy was (but I hope that you don't!).)

In other news, it’s been so long since I’ve last eaten a pattypan that I don’t even remember what they taste like. I hope they don’t taste too bad and I haven’t given aunt Rina a completely bizarre taste in food.
